Make some signs in Canva to give my neighbors an explanation of what’s happening. Also, can’t resist a good pun.

Photo: image of a pink lawn sign with a photo of a bee on echinacea saying “This home is transitioning to native plantings. So please, Bee Patient. Learn why and how at MaineAudubon.org/plants or xerces.org”

Any chance you wouldn’t mind sharing this Canva design for us fellow Mainers? Or sending it to the orgs above to share? Thank you!

Ah I’m about to solarize my lawn. Gotta get this sign!

Looks great but I’d be hesitant to tell neighbours “scary bugs” are coming and you’re encouraging it. Maybe go with pretty butterflies. Everyone likes butterflies.

I absolutely would have bought one of these last year or the year before. This year it’s finally apparent what it is.

So much plastic hate, and it’s fair.

But it’s probably one of the fastest way to kill grass and not have to fight that battle. It is a shit right if you’ve ever tried it.

It can be dangerous if it’s in there too long though, it’ll bake the soil ecology. But it doesn’t look like landscape fabric that is going to stay down.

Happy grass killing, and flower growing to you!

What’s up with all the plastic, I’d rather see grass
