“Our restaurant is about reconnecting our plates to where our food comes from — to the soil, our ecosystems and to nature,” the farm says on its website.
“Instead of bringing the farm to the table, we’ve brought your table to the farm. Across our land, we use natural growing methods to create healthy ecosystems with rich, living soil, striving to grow the most delicious food for your plate.
“We cook with what is growing every week as well as sourcing ingredients from like-minded farmers, foragers and gamekeepers in the local area.”
Due to its commitment to serving food grown on the farm, the restaurant varies from week to week.
This week’s menu includes dishes such as Duck liver parfait with pickles; Ricotta and tomatoes; Poached trout with potato salad and Pork belly with carrot and quince mustard – to name a few.

It also has cabins where visitors can stay overnight, as well as being a venue that be hired out for private events.
The Times featured the farm in its list of seven of the UK’s best kitchen gardens, saying: “The ethos here is focused on bringing the farm to the table, which means salads, herbs, greens and more are harvested just a few minutes’ walk away and wild ingredients are foraged from the surrounding hedgerows.
“Our favourite? Crumpets made from the farm’s wheat and served with seasonal soup. Make a weekend of it with a stay in one of two boho glamping cabins. The charming market town of Bruton is a five-minute drive away.”
