As you can see I have this beautiful string of turtles and it's probably my favorite out of all my plants at the moment. There is so much wonderful information out there unfortunately sometimes that information clashes with each other. So I'm just wondering would I leave the blooms or cut the blooms?

I got a string of turtles last year and it always has a ton of blooms on it. I never cut them off and it has grown a LOT! I know I have heard that some people cut off blooms on their plants to encourage new growth, but I never cut them off and it is the fastest growing in my string of things collection.

I think it really only helps if the plant isn’t growing if you’re trying to start it from a single strand bc you want to encourage leaves instead of blooms but IMO when you have an established plant, let it bloom! 🩷🩷

I always cut them. Searching and pruning them gives me a way of interacting with my turtles every day.

I always cut them, along with the last turtle. Otherwise it just flowers again for me. I found that taking a turtle encourages more turtle growth and less flowering.
