  1. The garden is looking magnificent! For that bare area , what about something like an old fashioned wide porch swing with a shed roof for shade and shelter?

  2. Ooooh! Ooooh! Do small rock walls, here and there, instead of fences! You could plant some climbing natives over them and tuck sedum and mushroom spawn in the cracks!!!!

  3. Hi Jess! Thanks for the video. I love the grass idea! I can relate lol
I would move the Kano plant. It will take over the entire side next year. Just my thoughts ā¤

  4. 18:06 Hi Jess, thank you so much for showing off your gorgeous garden it always makes me so happy and gives me ideas! What do you have growing in the circle beds behind you? I watched multiple garden tours and I don’t think you’ve said. Thank you! ā¤

  5. Have you tried fermenting the bitter melon? That seems to be a popular way for those of us not accustomed to it to consume it. I don’t like anything bitter, but it’s supposed to be so beneficial. I’m thinking I may ferment it in plenty of brine as gut shots.

  6. Oh! Grass paths would be wonderful! Get a robot mower to trundle around all day! The front of the cottage garden would look lovely with lawn edging and an arbour further out from the entrance with the edging lawn to cross before walking actually onto the garden paths. The rose covered arbour might look better if it were wider than normal so there’s plenty of space to walk under.

Loving the suggestions in the comment section on bitter melon recipes and prep. What a wonderful global community!

Thank you for inviting us into your stunning garden, again. šŸ’ššŸ‡¬šŸ‡§

Maybe split the cannas in two and bring them forward to become the guardian garden sentries at each front outside quarter/corner. šŸ˜ŽšŸ’‚šŸ’‚

  8. Unsolicited opinion about the cannas: move them near the back corner of your big greenhouse for scale. Put one rose trellis as you’re planning at the beginning of the walkway. Put the other rose trellis over there as a walkthrough between your new picket fence and the jog for the one you’re contemplating. Just my two cents. Everything is glorious!

  9. Your cottage garden is stunning! The rest of the garden is amazing, too. Good job, Jess and family! Blessings to all of you.

  10. I am envious of how lush and full your garden is. Mine is just getting planted out. Mine will be in full swing when yours is getting crispy from the heat. Personally I would move the canna. It does block the view of the greenhouse. And once the rose fills out, the arbor will give the secret garden vibe quite well.
