13 hrs a day under a Sansi grow light, 80° room, humidity averages around 20% and there is a ceiling fan going full blast 24/7. Back to the grow light, I move that bulb between the problem child that is circled and the fleshier one on the far left which is currently hogging the spotlight.

Ugh… This lil one is fairly new to me. It has a grit topdressing but under that is 60/40 grit to succ mix. This is a 2" pot. These wrinkles tell me I'm under versus over watering…am I right?? When I do water it, which turns out to be about 2x/week, the water instantly flows through the pot. Pleeeease tell me I'm not over watering!! I feel like seeing the water run out so easily is a good sign.

It has thin leaves so will need watered more often than succs with chubby leaves. I have one that looks similar and it’s constantly having bottom leaves go crispy. I’m trying to water it more to see if that makes a difference. Not sure just yet.

2x/week seems frequent, but it also doesn’t look overwatered. If the old leaves are drying out faster than new ones are growing, it might even be underwatered. What’s the grit you’re using? Did you pot it yourself or receive it in the pot already?

  3. Leaves do also dry out after a while, irrespective of how much or little water the plant may be getting… not that it necessarily applies here, but just to keep in mind. It’s just their natural cycle.
