Members of the New Century Garden Club gathered Tuesday in the home of Mrs. Danny Slavinski for the May Salad Supper.

This final meeting before summer break was co-hostessed by Nathalie Kidd, Shelley Towns and Cathy Norris.

The table were decorated with a patriotic theme and members dined inside and out. Each Member brought a salad or dessert to share so the group enjoyed a large assortment of delicious food. Members also brought a small item to place in the Perfect Attendance basket that is then awarded to a qualified member.

The club fundraiser, Make It, Fake It, Take It silent auction was organized by Sara Kaivani and member bids were fast and furious.

Items in the auction included handmade pottery, gardening themed baskets, a rooster weathervane, various plants, stained glass designs, birdfeeders and more.

The proceeds from this auction support the club maintenance of the Jane Long School Garden.

Club President Karen Wright conducted a short business meeting wherein officers and committee chairs gave year end reports. In the final drawing, the Perfect Attendance basket was received member Janis Cameau.

The club will reconvene in September.
