This is my corn plant. His name is Cornelius, I’ve had him for well over 3-4 years now?
I water him pretty much whenever I go to the soil and I stick my finger in and it’s dry about 2-3 inches of topsoil.
He sits in the left corner of my room next to a south east facing window. Never direct light just indirect light.
So two days ago I had a great idea. It was down pouring late at night and his soil felt well over dried and I figured he would love fresh rain water bath right? First time I’ve ever put him outside. The lowest it dropped was 65, so the next morning his soil was extremely wet because of all the rain. It was humid that day after the rain so I figured I’d let him sit outside this day to dry a little and get humidity. Let’s fast forward to now. I just got off work ready to pull him inside and this is what I see!
It was cloudy both days so I figured he wouldn’t burn.
I’m not sure what this even is? Maybe he was bleached by the sun? But it wasn’t sunny outside the two days?

I think he might be overwatered, the brown tips on the leaves are a tell tale sign. Best you can do is move him to a pot with dry soil.
Yeah that is scorching from the sun. Going from inside to outside, even if it’s cloudy, is a huge difference in brightness and plants adjust very slowly. Those leaves will not recover, but your plant will live and produce new leaves.
He is a bit sunburnt. The damage is very directional and doesn’t appear to be on leaves that were covered by higher leaves.
It will take time, but he will recover.
I leaned at a water park in 5th grade that you can sunburn on a cloudy day.
You definitely have some sun scald on there. The droop could be because it’s too wet or a stress reaction. The spotting on it (if it’s not from a spray application of something) is probably sun damage from wet leaves. When droplets are on leaves they can act as a magnifying glass for the sun, resulting in more severe burns on the plant
ETA: Cornelius is NOT dead but is stressed! Give him TLC and consistency for a while
Poor guy got sunburn.
Unlike people, plants don’t grow new skin. Those damaged leaves will not heal, they will eventually die and fall off. So your guy is going to be a bit bald.
But he won’t die.
You could just behead him now to encourage fresh new leaves. Sounds brutal but it might be for the best.
For now, do nothing. Wait and see how many leaves die.
