An anniversary tea party will be held to mark a special milestone.

Squire’s Crawley is celebrating 25 years since it first opened its doors and will host the event on Tuesday, July 8, from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at its garden centre on Horsham Road.

Colin Squire OBE, chairman emeritus of Squire’s Garden Centres, and his daughter, Sarah Squire, chairman, will host the event.

Sarah Squire said: “We are incredibly proud to be celebrating 25 years of Squire’s Crawley – a centre that holds a special place in our family and the community.

“My father and I are very much looking forward to welcoming customers to share in this milestone with us.

“It promises to be a wonderful afternoon of reflection and celebration, and a lovely opportunity to say thank you to our loyal customers and dedicated team, as well as an opportunity to show our support for the centre’s Charity of the Year, Age Concern (Crawley branch).”

Guests will be greeted with a glass of fizz before enjoying a full afternoon tea.

The menu includes a selection of sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and an assortment of mini cakes, along with tea or coffee.

Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.

Live music from a local pianist will add to the atmosphere.

Tickets are priced at £25 per person, which includes afternoon tea, a glass of fizz, and a special gift to take home.

Tickets can be purchased online or in-store, and early booking is recommended as places are limited.

The afternoon will also feature a charity raffle in support of Age UK Crawley.

The Crawley branch, opened in 1999, has become a popular destination for gardening enthusiasts and families alike.

The company is known for its wide selection of plants, garden products, and homeware.

It also offers a café, landscaping services, and a variety of workshops and events throughout the year.
