Here are the latest planning applications submitted to Torfaen County Borough Council.
Outbuilding retention
An application seeks permission for the retention of the outbuilding at 17 Lower Garn Terrace, Garn Yr Erw, Blaenavon, which was built between October 17, 2020, and November 13, 2020.
The structure is made from a 40mm box section steel frame with red cedar boards treated with Thermoguard varnish.
It also features bi-fold aluminium and glass doors, and a roof made from EPDM rubber.
Inside, the outbuilding is equipped with PVC flooring, Gypsum Gyproc wall boarding, and a fire-retardant insulation board.
Discharge of condition
An application has been submitted for the discharge of condition 8, relating to a written scheme of investigation for an archaeological building investigation and recording.
This is for the conversion of a redundant agricultural barn into a children’s day nursery and office space at the Small Corn Barn Court Farm, Usk Road, Llanvihangel, Pontymoile, Pontypool.
HRS Wales has prepared the scheme.
The planning application for the barn conversion includes the installation of doors and windows, an insulated beam and block floor, vents, a replacement mezzanine floor structure, and internal independent wall linings and insulation.
Both applications are set to be reviewed by Torfaen County Borough Council.
