I bought two houseplants from there last week that looked great! I repotted them and they’re thriving. Not disappointed

  2. Ugh target, it’s all so overpriced…. 30 seems too high for those

I paid 12 for mine? Got it what 3 weeks ago at target. Weird.

  4. Yet another reason to boycott target. Haven’t been all year and certainly not going for that.

Been doing it since the house plant rise of the last year and a half man.

They’ve been selling plants since at least last Spring. I got my first white wizards from them (they all had root rot & died though lol)

These prices vary up in Canada. A year ago those would have been quite pricey up here (probably over $100+). Certain plant shops and greenhouses are still charging wild prices for a Thai Constellation. I got my first on Facebook marketplace from someone selling a Philadendron – and my other one was from Canadian Tire for $19.99! Great deal up this way!

Big box stores like Home Depot, Rona, and stores like Costco are definitely pricing this plant to be more affordable. So happy to see everyone in the hobby getting a chance with it! 😀

Yikes that is an insane price.

Last night I bought a 3’ft tall Yucca Cane for $19.00 at my regional grocery store!

  9. Standard Target lately. Overpriced on a lot of items. They forget what they point of their store once was.

i heard target had plants, checked them out. just a few varieties of philodendrons and a MASSIVE amount of fungus gnats. they followed me around the store after 🙃 really pissed me off, never seen so many fungus gnats

On Amazon from “plants for pets” store, I got the “Easy to Grow Houseplants (Pack of 6), Live House Plants in Containers, Growers Choice Plant Set in Planters with Potting Soil Mix” set for around $20.

Let me tell you, I’ve never bought such high quality, PERFECT little plants from any store ever. I’m just shocked. They all got replanted immediately into bigger pots, and two of them graduated into really big pots after they started going wild. I bought them a little over a month ago.

    Been waiting to tell y’all!

I don’t understand why everyone is freaking out about the Thai Cons being 30$. Those size Thai Cons have been the same price at Walmart, Lowe’s, and Home Depot for months. And these look pretty healthy!

All the people who spent 3k+ on them must be pissed 😀

I spy a succulent leaf for propagation 👀

  15. Mine had plants last year and probably the year prior?
They put them by the front door/returns desk, or in the back corner .

And like most other stores, it’s sad to see how the plants decline with time in store.

Target has had houseplants for a while. I’ve considered buying them but they always seemed so overpriced.

$30 at Walmart, our target takes terrible care of their plants. But walmart does too. Just shop local. I cant justify ordering on Etsy without free shipping

I don’t shop target anymore but since my last visit and a while prior they sell them periodically, especially in the spring
