Birdbath prices seem ridiculous, so I made one with an old pan and an alder branch. What do you folks think?

Whimsical! You could add a wind chime made of forks, colander planters, teacup bird feeders. Really lean in!

Actually I think it looks fun but seems like it would get hot?

That’s legit hilarious, not tacky at all.

    It’s great!
Do you live somewhere where it won’t freeze?

GASP! And old Revereware pan? Ohhhhh, say it isn’t soooooo!!!

    That’s really cute.

My main birdbath is a water heater pan. It’s in full sun with a solar pump moving the water and it just gets lukewarm.

    Nah I like it.

If it were non-stick it would less likely be tacky. /s

How does a birdbath not become a mosquito breeding tank?

It’s unique for sure, but not in a bad way. Kind of a neat upcycled use for it…birds will enjoy it as long as not in full sun.

What you should do is put a flat stone or upside saucer so smaller birds can use as well

How did you attach it? I’m curious. I collect Revere Ware 🙂

I think if that’s legit vintage Revereware, it’s a crime, and either way, it’s hilarious.

OP pile an assortment of rocks of varying thicknesses in the center or to one side, for birds & pollinators to be able to drink without going for a swim. Bees & butterflies get thirsty too!

I think it’s great! We just use a dog bowl and it’s very well used by birds for drinking and bathing. I agree with the person who said put some stones of varying sizes in though too, they definitely perch on them.

If you can add another one now with just dry soil in it they will be MADE UP! Our bird visitors love to bathe, then dust bath! It’s the absolute cutest thing to watch too.

I found a place that sells tops and bottoms separately that has a 40% off sale in my neck of the woods each year. I used cinders to hold it up.

Just a thought for others you may want to add to your yard!

Well your kids don’t want your parents revere ware, so this is a good use for it.
