First plants I’ve seen owned by a power lifter!๐๐
That’s a lot of plant and dirt to pack up and down steps! They’re stunning ๐๐

Yes I plan for a dry move myself when moving to summer outside. Really helps. I’m curious though do you prune back at all when returning them inside in the fall? Thanks.

You keep them in the basement all winter? I’m curious about the light situation down there?

Iโm obsessed with them and this post. Looking at the weather, it looks like later this week the gigantic monstera becomes the porch monstera again. Last year during her migration, she finally got so big she broke the wheels off her wheelie pot, and she tipped mid-transit and exploded dirt to the far corners of the earth.

How old are they?

Ficus absolutely love to be pruned regularly both the roots and the top. This way you can control the size of your pots and not have to upsize if repotting.

Wait is this the patio or are they going outdoors?

Boy here I was complaining about moving a couple of large cacti outside along with about 50 of their much, much smaller brethren & some succulents!!
Usually by now I’ve moved them all out but it’s going down below 50 tonite & tomorrow nite AGAIN so they’re all still inside right now.
On the bright side I don’t need a dolly to life them!

What’s your procedure for not bringing bugs into the house when you move them back inside? I currently have a few citrus trees that I move every fall but they’re still small enough that I can dunk them in insecticidal soap and give them new soil.

Are these ficus trees? We have them everywhere in Phoenix.
