okay so chitting potatoes this is a potato that has been put aside in a warmish temperature about 45 fah around about 7° Centigrade you leave a potato in a um semi dark area not Pitch Black if you keep it in a real dark area then these little Sprouts will go long and lanky so this is what happens when you are sprouting a potato if you want to encourage it keep it around about 45 to 50 fah and Little Sprouts will form like this this potato is then ready to plant at this length here you can even cut this potato in half plant each half and have uh two potato plants where you would have the one okay that’s just about the right line 3/4 of of an inch to an inch facing upwards plant it in the ground and you’ll have your potatoes
