First slab grafts, does the vascular ring need to be intact for them to work?
Been meaning to try slab grafting, tried some out this morning but I think I messed up and cut most of the vascular ring off the slabs. Will they still work?
When I “attempt” a slab graft I make sure they are overlapping somewhere otherwise how would the slab ever recueve water and nuitrents

Ya they’ll be fine. It’s a common myth that you need to overlap central vasculature of the scion and stock in order to have a successful graft. That’s not true. Each areole has its own vasculature that’s hard to see so they’re fine without the central vasculars
