Sussex garden designer Juliet Sargeant will be giving out top soil advice at two family-run garden centres this month.
People at the Old Barn Garden Centre in A24 Dial Post, near Horsham, will get the chance to meet the award-winning designer on May 25.
She will be at the centre, which she has recently relocated her business to, from 11am until 2pm signing copies of her new book, Start with Soil: Simple Steps for a Thriving Garden.
On May 26, Juliet will do the same at South Downs Nurseries in Hassocks.
She will also be able to offer her best gardening advice between 11am and 2pm.
The book explains how climate change is impacting soil health and why every garden starts off with good soil.
It also includes information on the science of soil and how it changes during the year, along with a guide to various growing mediums and simple at-home soil testing for a healthy garden.
Juliet said: “Old Barn Garden Centre is a natural home for my design studio and practical workshops.
“I hope local people will pop along to our monthly garden-skills group and get to know us as a source of planting inspiration and local garden design advice.”
Director of the family-run garden centres, Benjamin Tate, said: “As a celebrated garden designer and TV presenter, it’s a real privilege to host Juliet here and offer our customers the chance to meet her in person, and discover more about her latest book.
“Her expert knowledge, combined with the practical gardening skills workshops and events that she has already introduced at Old Barn, will continue to be very well received.”
