WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The annual Garden Tour is underway in Wichita, emphasizing conservation, innovation and beauty. The event, sponsored by the Sedgwick County Extension Master Gardeners, kicked off Friday and continues through Sunday, June 1.

In Wichita, this year’s event features five distinctive private gardens and one newly established community garden.

Sedgwick County Extension said the gardens each offer “their own unique beauty and endless ideas for your own garden.”

“Every single one is a bit different, but all of them have good inspiration for what you can do in your garden,” said Abbey Draut, a horticulture agent with K-State Research and Extension, in Wichita.

Garden tours through the weekend go from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $10 per person, which includes access to all six gardens. Sedgwick County Extension said that children 12 and younger can enter for free with an adult. See flyer here.
