“How to Grow a Native Pollinator Garden in Your Yard” is the topic of an upcoming program in Perry Village.

The event, which is free of charge, will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. June 1 at Lee Lydic Park, 3954 Call Road. This program is sponsored by the Perry Village Parks and Recreation Committee.

Participants will learn why they should create a pollinator garden consisting of native flowers and plants; how to prepare a site for their garden; and where to buy seeds and plants.

At the conclusion of the program, participants will receive a guided tour of the park’s native flower pollinator meadow, which was planted about 1 1/2 years ago.
