  1. Fantastic ideas!! I love this and a great way to use up leaves left over from winter after I chop them with a weed eater. Thank you!

  2. Thanks jeams
But,In Bumar we'r poor and we only have pot to plant our vegetable.😢
So which one is better Bed (or) Pot.❤❤

  3. I grabbed one SuperSweet 100 this year to try. I put it in a self watering container I built and it loves it. Grew it to compare to my two favorite cherries, Sun Sugar and Chocolate Cherry. I also planted Brad's Atomic Grape to try as well. I will say, the SuperSweet 100 is prolific in that container. Growing SUPER well. Fast growing and TONS of fruit. It's halfway up my trellis already so I'm going to start letting some of the suckers grow out as well.

  4. If you don't have zip ties, the hardware cloth usually comes bound with stands of metal wire that can be reused instead

  5. These would also be super easy to attach to a rolling plant stand, throw a pvc or something in the middle and you could make an extremely cheap movable planter. This would also be easy to adapt to vertical planting, doing potatoes or strawberries out the sides

  6. This is a GREAT video James!!! I’m sure some gardeners, especially new gardeners, get overwhelmed by the potential cost to get going. This shows just how affordable it can be!!! And there’s always the option of in ground gardens! Charles Dowding is a wonderful resource for that kind of gardening! Love your channel and all the fabulous information and encouragement you provide for us all!!! Thank you James!!!❤

  7. James got any ideas for in ground beds that are sinking relative to the sandy earth around it invading and shifting about?

  8. Haha I started dismantling my son's old sandbox (cedar), and I used the box portion as a raised bed. I now have half growing bush beans and the other corn (not sure how it will ultimately do).

  9. Great idea. When filling you could put food scraps (stuff worms would eat) & encourage worms to migrate up into it. Free fertilizer & compost at the end of season. 😊

  10. I just realised that with the bed all wire you could easily sew into the mesh with a palm and needle some more wire for a trellis for tomatoes to vine up.

  11. I love how you come up with cheap easy ideas for creating beds, walk us through the process and show us results. Thank you! 😊

  12. Thank you for this great idea…I am going to try this for my banana plants, I'm wondering about strawberry planting. I might even try this indoors with a kiddie pool under it for the winter plantings.

  13. I was told that wood chips shouldn't be placed underneath the plantings because they will draw nitrogen from the plants above for their decomposition. I think I'll use leaves and pine straw instead, plus they're free, then add The compost/potting soil and plants. This is a great idea for me because I've already used up all my storage totes that served as my raised beds and don't have the funds for materials to build raised beds.

  14. Cardboard box works as well, although I did have to tie a rope around the box after a month to keep it together… 🥴
