Perennial vegetables are perfect for permaculture, food forests and homesteads. See what types of perennial vegetables you can plant.
this year I’m going to be adding a lot of perennial vegetables to my flower garden creating a more food Forest style type of a garden and one of them that I’m going to be growing is seale the leaves the flower buds and the stems can all be eaten I love the larger leaves steamed the young leaves used in salads and the flower buds also sprinkled in a salad but the cool thing about seale is you can use the steems as a replacement for asparagus another one that I’m going to be growing is homesteaders oscope kale seems fitting to grow on a homestead with that kind of a name I love this one because of its color it’ll have the purples Reds and the green colors this is the perfect kale to be making kale chips with because they’re nice and firm I also love this when in soups as well you want to give this one plenty of room you want at least 2 to three foot because it gets fairly large thanks for spending time with me today may your garden grow strong and may we keep finding joy in the simple things
