I’ve had them for at least a month and at one point they were growing pretty fast, but I’m not seeing much change besides more leaves. Is this normal? Used organic soil, worm castings, fertilizer and compost. I’m a beginner gardener in zone 7b.

    Are those weeds?

You should always grow 1 plant in each container, water and fertilize. Full sun.

Plants still look healthy, you won’t get fruit for a few months though

  2. The soil looks very dry, and tomatoes are THIRSTY, so I would start there!

water and time (and a little bit of the temp) and it’ll keep going. You want it in root mode right now anyway

It often happens from time to time, usually it means they’re busy growing roots.

Tomatoes need LOTS of water, sunlight, and heat! Without one of those factors, they get sad

Looks like you cut the stalk that fruits. Or it died off.

The main stem is broken off. That’s why you don’t listen to people pruning their “annuals”. Whether you did it on purpose or not, the plant is set back a lot. One of the side shoots will eventually become the main stem, but it’ll take a while.
