Stark Strand Garden Design has announced its debut at a renowned gardening festival.
Based in Norwich, the studio, founded by garden designers Laura Strand and Sam Stark-Kemp, will present a show garden at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival in 2025.
The garden, titled “Teucer Wilson: Green the Gap Garden,” aims to highlight the potential of overlooked city spaces.
Stark Strand Garden Design is working in collaboration with Norfolk sculptor and stone carver, Teucer Wilson, for the project.
The garden will feature vertical sculptures made from repurposed Portland Stone offcuts, supplied by Albion Stone.
These sculptures, echoing a city skyline, will be carved with recesses reflecting architectural details.

The plant selection includes drought-tolerant species suited to impoverished soils.
Recycled aggregate from a demolished workshop will be used as mulch, creating a favourable environment for these plants.
The garden, designed with pollinators and wildlife in mind, illustrates how even small efforts can benefit both people and nature.
After the festival, the garden’s plants will be relocated to the Norfolk School of Gardening, where Laura and Sam first met while studying for their Diplomas in Garden Design.
