I remember my mom planting caladiums back in the 80’s when there were only a few color variations. She couldn’t grow much but she could definitely grow caladium bulbs!!

I plants 3 bulbs which surprising starting to emerge new growth point.These are Red-Orange!Reason surprised because I almost rotted them kept them too moist.So cut off all old mushy part then planted them in little soil allowing to almost completely dry.I watched a propagation video where they place cut up tuber/bulbs in the soil.Im going to try that later.

Has anyone grown them outdoors and successfully overwintered them in a cold zone either by using a heavy mulch or digging up the corms and storing them ?
