I did it, just around 800 sf of grass gone. 2 zones to drip. Still a work in progress. Colorado USA. Going to a waterwise habitat garden.

Great work! It’s nice to see a garden with good hardscape! I’ve been adding rock to my landscape, and I feel like it really helps give plantings structure and define shapes.

To add, it will be focused towards pollinators and birds. I still deciding on what shrubs and plants to get and my budget to replenish.

It’s gonna look great! Any worries about people stealing your planter pots?

Very nice! I like the rock work and the varied elevations. We’re going to start planning a revamp of our yards as well. 70s house surrounded by useless grass, especially the front.

Where’d you get the steel edging?

Looks great! We need more of this out here 🌱

I’m a big fan of natural mulch. It breaks down over time, suppresses weeds and makes it look neat.
Should save any run off from storms.

This is truly amazing. It’s going to be so beautiful! I think about the back breaking work that goes into each and every rock too.

Would love to have the money ri be able to do something like this!

    Good luck & enjoy!

This is going to be a showstopper when it’s done. That a crapton of work right there. Did you kill the grass first or just remove it?

I live your use of the steel edging and the panels retaining the upper tiers. I wonder how it would fair in my humid 9b zone in FLA? I could see it heating up in the sun and cooking anything touching it.

Looks great. Please be careful posting full frontal views of your home with the house number visible!
