I’m literally about to switch all of mine to clear pots inside of decorative pots so we can check on the roots

Switched last year and love it! Makes watering so much easier too.

  3. cryptidintraining

Yup. Made the move to all clear pots a couple weeks ago.

Lol. Yep! Only thing to watch is if your starting vegetables and put them out to harden off. Not a big deal if you have them in a tray or deep pan.
Pretty neat to see them growing.

Not to poop on your party, but aren’t roots supposed to not get light? it looks cool though

  6. nothxxmagnum

Yes but I stick my clear pots into a decorative pot lol, especially helpful for cute pots that don’t have drainage holes

  7. Yes!! I love clear pots so much then pop them in a pretty ceramic pot.

  8. I did an entire house plant repot at the end of last summer (about 75 indoor plants), putting everything in clear pots, inside of decorative pots. I can easily see if something’s wrong, how dry the soil is and when it’s done bottom watering. And to be nosey with roots!

I just started and I love it. I actually was a super hoarder of nonsense Tupperware with no lids and lids with no bowls. So now I just poke holes and use for plants, luckily it’s all clear so two for one deal. I also like to use old water bottles for transferring water props so I can see if they’re doing good.

  10. Can agree (:

To anyone who is interested in clear pots, I’ve tried between a couple brands & these ones on Amazon have done the best! The plastic is not flimsy at all rather very strong with a good amount of drainage holes at the bottom. It also comes with 4 different sizes & priced at about .50 cents each, def worth it!

Guilty 😅 I’m such a snoop , my plants have no personal space

When my plants are ready for repotting, I’m going to put them in clear pots. I’d especially like to find clear orchid pots so I can see when they ready for a water. Also an excuse to buy more decorative planters for all my plants!

No. My plants and I keep a professional relationship. We don’t see each others neithers.

All of my little plants are in clear pots! I love watching the growth in the soil. Helps to see when the soil is still moist too

  15. itza_trapfosho

For roots and so I can see how dry the soil is (or isn’t lol). I love them!

  16. Those r the ones I use, too. Let a glass one from ikea go decades ago and have been seeking something like it.

I want to switch to clear, too, for this exact reason!! Any links would be appreciated!!

  18. Each to their own, I don’t like the look myself. I prefer very simple dark pots for stunning plants, or brightly decorated pots for dull plants.

    Yuuuup I love clear pots

I do this for all my tiny starter plants

Once they outgrow the largest clear pot I have I put them in a regular pot. I just think it helps to see the root development when they’re that small and fragile

  20. Rin_thepixie

I love using clear pots. It is so much easier to check on the roots and see if my plants need water.

  21. Affinity-Charms

Majority of my plants are in clear pots. Super nosey lol

  22. zombies-and-coffee

Why do I feel like I’m spying on plants getting nekkid?

  23. CraftyPlantCatLady

Clear nursery pots are the only way to go, I love them so much and it’s so helpful to be able to see not just the roots but how far down the wet soil is!

Aside from that though- why (and how?) are your string of pearls SOOOOOO BIG?! 🥹

  24. Yes, I’m in the process of transferring as many as possible to them. They make it so much easier to see what’s happening down there

  25. Ok-Pomegranate-6479

It’s also way easier to see if the soil has dried out!!
