I've had this plant for about a month and there's been a steady build up of these white crystal looking things and yellow flecks. I have no idea what they are or if they're damaging the plant. I water the plant once every 3-4 days and keep it in a semi-lit area near my window. The soil is the same as I bought it in and I make sure its well filtered. Please help!

These are pests, but I’ve never seen these yellow ones so I can’t help with ID.

  2. That looks like a bad aphid infestation. Even if it’s not, I’d treat them with a good quality product that uses pyrethrum or similar. Wash off as many as you can and dose every few days for a week or so, and you should be good to go. Oh, and I’d take the plant outside to a neighbours that you don’t like and shake all them off on their garden or lawn. Okay, no I wouldn’t really but try and get rid of as many as possible away from other plants if possible. I’ve dealt with aphids many, many times and that’s what these look like but as I said, it’s the same treatment regardless.

  3. These look like aphids to me. Easy to deal with – they can be knocked off with water spray.

Oh, that’s a pretty bad aphids infestation you have there.
Get a pest pray and spray thoroughly all affected plants.

This is aphids. The clear sticky resin is honeydew that they produce.

Can I ask what kind of plant that is? I have one similar but never knew the name. To answer your post, I agree with the others. Looks like aphids.
