4/24/25 — It’s a big weekend for plant lovers! The Annual Open House is happening this Saturday and Sunday at Darby Creek Nursery, and it’s one of their biggest events of the year.
If you can touch it or take it home, it’s 25% off—everything in inventory, from flowers and shrubs to trees and garden décor (installation not included). It’s a great chance to stock up and save as you kick off your spring projects.
Jeff Turnbull, owner of Darby Creek Nursery and our resident gardening expert on Good Day Gardening, says this year’s plants are farther along than usual. Thanks to a warm March and April, many of the plants arriving at the nursery are more mature, fuller, and ready to thrive in your yard.
Even better news? Jeff says that with how mild the weather has been, the threat of frost is looking unlikely at this point—great timing for gardeners ready to get planting.
You can join in the fun all weekend long at 9050 Amity Pike, where you’ll also find free hot dogs & popcorn, live music, and family-friendly activities at the Open House event.
And don’t forget — Jeff shares new gardening tips every Saturday and Sunday morning on FOX28 during Good Day Gardening!
