When I got this plant, I was told to water it biweekly, but the soil seems very dry. And also the leaves are so pink (there wasn't any pink when I got it). Do I need more/new soil? More water? It sits right on the windowsill, so I think it has enough light. Thank you all!!! Also would love to know the name of the plant if u have any guesses 🙂

It is a philodendron Brasil. Water when the pot feels light. Schedules don’t generally work. It should be watered when the top inch or two of soil is dry but try mot to let the whole pot go dry. I personally put water in the sink and set the whole pot in there to really soak up the water then let it drain. Sometimes of the soil gets too dry the water will run down through cracks or along the pot wall and not real get the soil wet. Lastly depending on the direction your window faces it may be too much sun. Pink sounds like sunburn so give it bright light but not direct sunlight

Philodendron Brasil!! If the top inch of soil feels dry, then it’s time to water! As for giving it a little assistance, I’d trim anything that seems dead dead with sterilized clippers, and gently mist any emerging leaves to help them along.
What direction is your window facing?

    Philodendron Brazil
Google images or Pinterest of Philodendron leaves will identify what plant you have.

I only water my plants when the moisture meter is at a 3 and not allowing the plant to go fully dry for long periods.

Pink is the normal color for new Brazil leaves! It’ll green up over time.

I would put new pot with fresh soil and fill a bowl for it to soak up water as it wants, and I would with a scissor rubbed with alcohol snip the dead parts and maybe some of the length off it – it’s looks pretty strong it gonna be such a happy cute plant very soon don’t worry!!
