I recently purchased some plants, from aroid market. I was pleasantly surprised at their condition. From all my research the best advice I've found was to pack the bottom of pot and top with spaghum moss. Some also need moss poles for support. I've used moss poles in the past and I know I've made mistakes, such as not packing the moss tight enough, etc. After repoting almost all of them and supporting some with moss poles, the thought occurred to me that perhaps I should've used some BTI drops and treated the moss for fungus gnats. I have not watered any of these plants yet, so it's entirely too late, and may be a dumb question, but is this a common practice? To make sure and treat the moss for pests? Is there anything else you would recommend as far as plant care? I am building the greenhouse for these plants this weekend, using an Ikea Milsbo cabinet. I do live in a humid place, but with my AC, they need more controlled humidity. Pics of some of the plants so it gets attention. Thanks!
