My seedlings aren’t growing very much. They are in a north facing window (southern hemisphere) and receive many hours of direct light (through windows) for much of the day. I sowed them maybe 3months ago. They are in pure pumice and I gave them some very dilute cactus/succulent fertiliser about 2 weeks ago. Those first 2 true leaves have barely grown. Zone 11a

They like tons of sun, constant warmth, a very deep pot, and to stay damp. Our summers here in San Francisco aren’t very hot so I have to keep mine on a heat mat for most of the year. It sits in a small dish that I keep some standing water in. Once the water dries up, I’ll usually wait a day or two then give it more.

If in pure pumice, you should be flushing daily with fert water.

Mine are a year old, and some have maybe 2-1/2″ of secondary leaf growth; a few have maybe 12-14″ leafspan or a little more, and that’s in Phoenix with way too much heat and light.
