Hi friends, welcome to my channel. My name is Dawn and I garden in Texas, zone 8b. Today we’re going to be exploring Green Acres in Irving, Texas. And we’re going to just be looking at a lot of the natives, annuals, perennials, you name it. Um, they’ve got a lot of beautiful stock and some good sales, so I’ll share those with you. We’re also going to be visiting Home Depot in Irvington. Hopefully, you’ll stay tuned till the end and I’ll show you what I got. [Music] One thing I love about Green Acres is its selection of perennials and natives. So, that’s where we’re going to start. Then, we’re going to wake our way through the annuals, some of proven winners, and other selections. And then, we’re going to go through the spillers and move along from there. Now, we’re at the Home Depot in Irving, Texas. And I’m just going to highlight a few of the Proven Winners that are here and a few Smart Wise plants as well. [Music] Good. Come on. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Yeah. [Music] All right, I know you guys want to know what I got. So, the first thing was this beautiful orchid, desert orchid. So, I got one that looks almost in tree form already. Excited about that. So, I am just going to pot it up. I got this gorgeous pot at Home Depot. $24.97. So, I thought that would be really pretty in there. And then picked up a couple of the caladiums for the sale that they were having. Two for 10, I believe it was. But I thought these were so unusual. And then I picked up a couple of these pensmans. These are the cherry sparks. Um I they looked pink in the store. I sure hope they don’t turn red, but we will see. I picked up one of these deep pink capas. This is the first time I first time I’ll be trying the kapia. And then I picked up this pretty little annual at Home Depot. First time I’m trying this. So, most of these are going to be for pots. This is what I went for originally. This will be a third of the I’m planting these up behind my sage in the back right now. The Green Acres and Home Depot tour was inspiring! So many pretty flowers! One of my favorite things to do is check the clearance section ( at Lowes) and rescue plants! Can’t wait to see where you put your new purchases! ❤
