My neighbors think I’m insane using a broom, but it’s hard to argue with the results (Washington D.C., 7a)
I have a DIY roller for the mower, but it’s heavy and hard to maneuver on a small lawn. So the broom method it is. This community is the only reason it looks this good, so cheers. (Washington D.C. 7a)
My wife also thought I was insane when I did this last year. It didn’t turn out as nice as OP, but still very noticeable compared to non-broomed.

If you had attached it to the back of your mower with some weights no one would be questioning you, so I don’t get the hate.

Sometimes I’ll put the bag on & essentially use mower like vacuum. I know my neighbors think I’m a little atypical. Totally fine with it though as are both of my next door neighbors because I usually do their yards too 🤣 I’m sure if I start using your broom technique they’ll think I’m certifiable. Can’t wait to try it
