gave one of my bald plants a chop and i feel like the nodes are too dry to prop but it still has life

    You could always put it in some water fully submerged with some root stimulator, some of the nodes might surprise you.

    leave the ends to callus over, then place it in a container with some rocks or spaghnum moss or a bit of soil, add some water but not to much, place the stem in there in a way that it doesnt really get wet, close the container with a lid or cling film and make sure its pretty much airtight. place in a bright warm spot direct sun is maybe a bit to much but if you have a non clear see through container it can be done, wait a few days if there is no condensation then add a little bit of water. check once every few days to make sure there isnt any fungus growing. should develop roots in a few weeks.

    I put mine in water and 3 months later it has roots and the tiniest leaf starting.
