Ridiculously hardy. Take the tiniest sprig and throw in your lawn. It’ll be covered in a couple years.
Over 1/2 my lawn is mint now and I mow it in the summer every week. And every week there’s more to mow.

If he is eating it, it may be MSM in the new growth. My dogs eat it for a nutritional lack.

I had a friend that had an herb garden and her dog would always stand in and just deeply inhale the tarragon. He smelled like tarragon all summer.

He likes that refreshing mint smell! Good thing it’ll never go away! 🌱🌱🌱🌱

What a cute doggo 🥰 reminds me of one time I saw a girl walking with shih tzu, that cute little pupper stopped in front of every flower to sniff test each, then would look back at the girl and happily trot ahead.

I don’t think that’s mint. I think it’s creeping bellflower. Which my dog also steals bites of whenever he gets the chance. Best to id it formally if your dog is eating it, but if it is creeping bellflower it isn’t toxic to pets.

There’s probably rabbit nests or field mice or other little critters living under that coverage

My dog is like this with my bee balm flowers. He stops and smells them every morning when he makes his way around the yard.

The pee that another dog just put down 10 minutes before you came by

Hard to tell what it is, can you update us when it blooms? My guess is either some kind of bellflower or bee balm.

It might be Wild campanula. If it is, it is generally considered non-toxic to dogs 🙂
My dog loves the purple flowers and rolls in them every time we come across them.

Mine attack the black berry and raspberry bushes. Seeing little corgi go up on hinds with caution is a riot. If I could get them to stop bringing in mouthfuls of acorns to snack on I’d be good. They give Legos a run
