A mysterious skull has been found in a back garden in north London – but no one can work out what it is.
Josh Woolliscroft, was playing with his family member’s dog Arlo a week ago in Muswell Hill, north London, when he suddenly rushed beneath the neighbour’s fence.
Arlo re-emerged just 10 seconds later, displaying the skull in his mouth.
Josh, 22, told Metro: ‘I was just shocked – my first thought was that it was human.’
Upon closer inspection, it became clear the skull did not belong to a human as the jaw was too big.
But still unclear as to what animal it has come from, and why it was so intact, Josh took to social media to work out what it was.
The musician said: ‘In the back of my mind I kind of just assumed it belonged to a cat or a fox, but the more I looked at it the more I realised it had the wrong set of teeth.

‘I posted in a bone identification group to see if they had some answers, and the consensus is it belongs to a much larger animal, like a cow or deer.’
According to the group, it is more likely to belong to a horse, with the skull having a similar jaw structure and set of teeth.
But how it came to be in a Haringey garden is still a mystery.
Josh said: ‘Someone on the forum told me they used a lot of sediment from the River Thames to build houses.
