Bigger than I expected at least! I love her. She’s prolific, she’s beautiful, she’s easy to care for. However, I started with just a pup about 4 years ago and it looks like she has split into 4/5 separate rooting bodies. I’m moving into a house with more space and I’d like to split them up into separate pots for other rooms.
Will that be healthy for the plant? Is that what she wants? Will they keep multiplying at the base like this? Does it end? TIA!! 🫶

what’re your secrets 👀
What an absolute beast.
Like the Ungoliant of Tolkien’s Middle Earth:
>In a ravine she lived, and took shape as a spider of monstrous form, weaving her black webs in a cleft of the mountains. There she sucked up all light that she could find, and spun it forth again in dark nets of strangling gloom, until no light more could come to her abode; and she was famished.

Spider plants are super resilient and can take big root chops. I’d keep 3 in one and move 2 to another. They hang kinda wonky with just a single in there. The roots will probably be tangled, but you can cut through with a knife. It’s better than pulling apart with your hands and making a mess. Have someone hold the leaves up with their arms straight extended while you do it to prevent leaf damage. You may have to break the pot to get it out depending on how root bound it is. They like being root bound so don’t size up crazy big when you separate! They may look a little rough from shock compared to being all together, but they will adjust and bounce back quickly. You will have some leaves inevitably break, but I wait about a week to cut those so the plant isn’t overwhelmed.
I am impressed! I can never keep them alive, personally lol
Whoa I’m impressed! I can only aspire to have such a monster spider one day, this is so lush and gorgeous.
