Watered once a week, full sunlight. Despite my best efforts my Australian friend has sprouted. Is it too late to turn it round? I am thinking to leaving then to grow enough to take cuttings and then plant the trunk right side up. Disaster! Lol

LOL

Bro you got me laughing so hard I needed this thank you love
Itβs sprouting new shoots, not upside down!!
Are you sure it is upside down? Might just be sprouting from the base.
How can it be upside down? πππ
If this works it’s actually pretty cool
Based off the direction of the curves and ridges on the trunk, I think this is in the correct direction. While these plants seem to usually sprout new growth from the tops of cutting, it is common for plants in general to send out new shoots closer to the base. A decent root system has probably already established itself. I would leave it, but you could try cutting the above ground portion of the trunk and go again in either direction, see what happens. I have had the section above the growth on these shrivel up on me before, so there is a chance everything above the green will die on its own anyway.
