Thank you all so much for stopping by today. So, let me tell you, we are going to get right to it. This is like perfect timing, y’all. I cannot make this up. So, I’ve been wanting to change these three containers out um probably for about a week now, but I’m focusing on right here because this is all of the soil three compost that we have left. And I know that once I pull these out, I’m going to have to top it off. literally about 30 minutes ago because it is about a two week wait and I think it was like April 18th that I actually uh placed the order for another bag of this and I just sat up there and I just said maybe I’m going to need to call them tomorrow cuz I haven’t heard anything. Just got a text they’re arriving tomorrow so we’ll go. I’m going to go ahead and use the rest of this. And the reason why I really need more is because I am about to flip out a lot of our um fall and winter garden beds. And so I know that I’m going to have to top it off. But I I’m not getting behind. But I just feel like the weather’s warming up and it’s some things that are not done yet. But we’re not going to worry about it. I always tell people, you know, you have to work with your schedule. You have to do what works best for you. Um, I got something to tell y’all. Uh, but it’ll be in a later video. It may be on a live. Um, so I’m gonna have to make some adjustments and I’m really going to have to get focused on my time management skills. But let’s go ahead. Let’s flip these out. So, before we flip these out, I want to give y’all just the backstory of these containers right here. And I’ll make sure that I link the video to where we found such an awesome deal on these containers um at our local big box store that I just absolutely love. And I just this year I actually want to go ahead. So last year I bought some lighting, just some solar lights that change colors, but I actually want to go ahead get those put up so that at night as you pull into the driveway, the colors uh just kind of look nice. I’m I’m I’m really about ambiance and the the feeling that you get when you pull into the driveway. But anyway, um so last fall we planted some dusty millers right here. We got some violas. We got some pansies. All of these are cool weather plants. And we put the snapdragon right here. Now, if you go back to some of our videos, um we’ve had several different types of plants here. Not necessarily in this container, but when we first moved here, we did like a whole container garden. And so now we’re just going to flip them out. Now, most of these we’re going to leave the spike plant in here that I’m going to put in. We actually started these from seed and I am super excited to share with you what we’re going to put in here. At first, just like when I planted this, you know, it all seems little, but just give it some growth. And the problem that I had is I thought that they weren’t going to grow at the same rate because we got a lot of trees right here. Um, but these did totally fine. Like they did okay. um as far as the growth right here, like all of them did well. So, I’m not worried about that anymore. I’m going to go ahead and you all know, let me just give you a recap. I’m also going to put in the description our free container gardening guide cuz when you plant in containers, there’s a little bit of different things that you got to think about. But, let me just recap, but I’m also going to link it. The main thing is you want drainage. I’m also going to top this off with this soil three. I’m going to put a slowrelease fertilizer in here. Right now, all I have left is garden tone. So, we’re going to put that in here. Um, we’re going to prep our soil and then I’ll share with you what we’re going to plant in these three containers. I know over the growing period is going to look so full, so beautiful, and just amazing. So, make sure you stick to the end. Now, I doubt if I will change it. If you all have been with me for a while, you know I might start off with one thing and at the end I have planted something totally different, but I I seriously doubt if I will change this combination. So, I’m not going to show you all how I’m going to pull everything. I’m just going to pull it. I’m going to prep my soil and I’m going to share with you I’m going to come back share with you the finished product. Okay? So, let’s go ahead. Let’s get started. So, I want to show you really quickly how everything looks cleaned out. Didn’t take long at all. Now, we haven’t topped it off. This one we’ll have to top off. This one actually is good right here. So, we’re just going to add slow release fertilizer in here. And then this one over here, we’re going to top off just a little bit. Now, let me share with you what we’re about to get ready to plant in each of the containers. And all of them, we want them to be the same because I’m going to step back for a minute. This is the driveway. Um, this is actually Chris’s workshop and I still got to clean it out, Lord. But as you drive in, this is like the first thing that you see as you’re driving into the driveway. And just to give you some perspective, um I’m going to turn around so that you can see as you’re driving down to the driveway, you can uh come like all the way down and you can get to this right here. So when you’re coming in to me, this is one of the focal points. Um another focal point that I actually like, we did a video on this on how we cleaned everything up. This is another focal point, too. So, it just depends on which way you want your eye to go. But again, we want all of these to pretty much be the same. And I really am going to put we got two lights. I really feel like at night if they’re shining in different colors uh with me, it just depends on the month because I can remember back in the day when we were overseas, um I used to love to decorate. You all have been with me a while. You know how I like to entertain. And each month I would change like my dining room table out, the tablescape. So I plan on doing the same thing like each month depending on what month it is. You know, you may see a different color pulling in with the lights. These are just things in my head that I like to do. But let me show you what we’re going to plant right here in these three containers. So I’ve kind of positioned everything, y’all. We started all of these from seeds. Um, this is the geranium that we started from seed. It is a I got two different varieties. One is like a cherry geranium and another one I don’t think it’s hot pink like it says. I think it’s more like a red. But what we’re going to do, we have the spike uh right here. So, we’re just going to put the geraniums around um the alysums that we started from seed. I’m just going to dead head and trim them back. They’ll come back. You you all know I like to do thriller filler spiller, but this is kind of going to be a little bit different. Like we’re going to put two plants that are kind of spillers. Um this is going to be our thriller and this is going to be our filler. But stick to the end because I actually have to get it out of the sail trays because I didn’t pot it up. But it’s more like a trailing plant. We grew something similar to this last year, but I actually found the seeds for it and I’ve been growing it inside and hardening them off. So now what I’m going to do is I’m going to go ahead and put my slowrelease fertilizer. Just top, like I said, this one and the third one off a little bit. And we’re going to get them planted and I’ll let you see how it grows. Remember, hit the subscribe button because a lot of the plants, you know, we we buy for instant gratification. They look small now, but I want y’all to see how they grow in and how they just become beautiful as the season continues. So, we’re just about done, but let me tell you what I found that I use. This is just as good. Um, and this is what I had some flower tone, y’all. So, we use that in here instead of the garden tone. But y’all know I stand by any Espoma products. I’ve did shorts about berry tone. It’s either flower tone, garden tone, plant tone, citrus tone. I really stand by their products. And I’m not sponsored. That’s the thing. But, okay. So, we’ve got the planters planted. We topped them off. We put the slowrelease fertilizer. Now, we’ve started these alysum from seed. So, I’m going to um they flower. So, I’m going to dead head these once I put everything on. But, let me show you the plant that’s going to go like right here in the middle that we started from seed in all three containers. Okay. Now, we still got some more geraniums that we got to plant that we got to pot up. But don’t worry about that, y’all. This is what I want you to focus on. I want you to focus on these. These are our um what I consider spillers. Um and this is when we started them from seed. Yes, they should have been out of the sale trays, but I’m telling y’all, just watch them flourish. I’m going to put one in each and then um I’ll probably put one on the front porch. We have a container that I was going to put in front of the garage, but I’m not pleased with the scale of it. I think that is too small of a scale for that area. So, we’re going to move them. So, that’s why I always say make sure you subscribe. Just stay tuned. But we’re going to put one in the middle of each. And then I’m going to um again cut these alysums back. They’ll they’ll reflour. And then um we’re supposed to go get some wood chips. Maybe it was supposed to be this weekend, but it really stormed pretty bad. We actually got a tornado watch warning. no, a tornado warning from our phone um that said, you know, to take cover, all of that good stuff. So, um that kind of got pushed back because it’s been like really raining off and on this weekend. But hopefully either this week or this weekend, we can go ahead and get that done so we can finish the rose garden. So, I’m going to go ahead. I’m going to put one of each of these in here. I’m going to water it in and then I’ll let y’all see how it looks. But again, make sure you subscribe. All right, let me show you how everything looks before I actually water it in. Um, so we have everything planted, y’all. The only thing, and I also deadheaded the alysums. The only thing we need to do is just um put our wood chips on here. I don’t want to put the straw mulch on here. Um I’m going to put wood chips. That’s what has been actually the coconut core um when we first moved in. That’s what we started off with. But we’re going to put our wood chips in. Got the alysum um deadheaded. And then we’re just going to watch it grow. and make sure you subscribe. I’m not going to do the lights today um because it’s actually in the evening. I want to do them like first thing in the morning because they’re actually solar lights so that they can get as much sun as they can and then I’ll either do a video, do a community post or do a short where I can show you how everything looks at night. But um again, I’m going to get everything watered in. I know it’s going to be beautiful. I know that these plants are going to like trail over and start to grow and have beautiful colors. Now, the geraniums are supposed to be red. One was like a bullseye cherry and one was like another one. I think I did use the bullseye cherry. Honey, we going to all see together.
