I saw a little bit of Virginia Creeper (similar vine w/ 5 leaves rather than 3) in the first picture, but yes, otherwise, that’s a shitload of poison ivy.
With how pervasive that is, it reminds me a lot of my yard. I have about 3 acres that has woods at the back of it. I’ve come to realize over the years that there’s absolutely no way I’m ever going to be able to eradicate poison ivy from my yard. You can rip that out, but it will be back in a year or two or will grow in similar areas. I’ve used roundup in the past, but I believe it’s probably better to use — sorry, I’m not quite yet into my lawncare mode so I don’t remember the chem names offhand. Something like Ortho weed control that’s safe for lawns is better than roundup.

Damn bro. You’re cooked. Yea that’s all poison ivy. Put some PPE on and rip it all out. Spray it afterwards those roots are deep deep. That’s some healthy poison ivy.

Hire someone else to handle this hell, that oil can stay on anything it touches for years.

My dad always said poison ivy grew with 3 leaves. As a child I didn’t know what that meant. I must’ve been dang near immune because as much as I touched it I never had any major issues with any reactions. As an adult I now understand what to look for and you do indeed have poison ivy!

Our last house had a TON of poison ivy. Brushtox was incredibly effective against it.

Oh yeah. And I am deathly allergic to it. Last time I got it it covered nearly half my body.

If you’re in a position to just not use that part of your property you should consider leaving it. Poison ivy is a native species that won’t take over the way English ivy does. The seeds it produces arrive at a very important time of year for migratory birds and serves as a high quality nutrition source along their fall journey.

Oh man! Be careful! I cut down trees with vines on them not knowing it was poison ivy and man handling the logs with just a tee shirt. My entire body was covered and I ended up with cellulitis all over the place. It lasted about 2.5 weeks. I probably slept a total of 10hrs in that time frame. It was FUCKING MISERABLE! Be smart!

Spray poison ivy killer (I think is the name) on the leaves and get the roots alls. Wait about 2 weeks and they will all get dried up and die. Then next remove the dead leaves easily with no issues.

Of yeah it’s poison ivy.

Cut the vines at the base of the tree. Wash off vigorously.
Spray any returning shoots. And all of the small plants not vining yet. Wash off vigorously.
When the vines are dead, remove them….but guess what? They’ll still wreck you. Wash off vigorously.
Alternatively, hire someone that is immune. Curse that you don’t have their luck, and let them remove it.
