Last Spring/Summer the city of Detroit installed new water lines..The entire block was underr construction..My lawn was 70 percent destroyed..Once completed they put down Contractors Grass ..I followed up by putting down JG Black Beauty Ultra September 2024 and again some more JG BBU and JG Blue Panther KGB April 2025..Fertilized with Milorganite and starter fertilizer and so far so good 👍

I used BBU last fall and loving my lawn this year. Also in MI. Will only over seed with BBU moving forward.

What starter fertilizer did you use?
Did you kill the contractor seed? I have a large section of lawn where the city did curb work and it’s full of grassy weeds that are a huge pain in my ass
