Another velvet leaf philo that I am learning to love. She is sizing up nicely and has that beautiful velvety sheen when in direct sunlight (which she only gets very early in the morning).
This is quickly moving up on my favorite philo list of the philos I grow.

What a beautiful plant. I just got a rescue gigas a few weeks ago that I am nursing through our winter, to hopefully put on a pole when spring comes. I’d love mine to eventually look like your does. I love the teardrop leaves. Does it give you much trouble? Everyone says the melanochrysum is a tricky plant to grow. Gigas is very similar looking, I’m hoping it won’t be as high maintenance as the melano apparently is.
