Any sight of it in my garden sends my blood pressure up but these bushes next to a carpark aren't looking so bad

It’s fine when it’s on scrub land. You’ll never get rid of it so might as well embrace it.

The problem in gardens is it literally swamps everything as soon as your back it turned.

I agree I wouldn’t want it in my garden but growing wild it’s a cool plant.

Yes! I love the way the stems come apart.

Henk Gerritson, Dutch plantsman, used it as groundcover.

There’s loads in a pretty woodland near me and it looks great, kind of Jurassic

I’ve never even seen it in my life. And I’m a gardener! The soil round here must be too poor and dry

Nope. Hate the sight of it. Pisses me off. Even this picture infuriates me 😂😭

That specific bit in your picture looks lovely.

The clumps that come up between my patio flags…less so.

I honestly don’t know what is going on but I had some pop up in my garden and then it just died and vanished.

It just gives me trauma and reminds me of the constant game of picking it out I have to play in my garden

Agreed, on roadsides and grass verges where it’s only in competition with other weeds it’s rather nice. It greenifies areas with little light such as underneath bushes.

In b4 prehistoric, Jurassic, here since the dawn of time etc

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually love it. It’s such a cool plant – a living fossil!
