Hi folks—had some colder than anticipated weather this past winter and lost the main bulb of my Bowiea, but the one smaller bulb seen here seems to be doing alright. Is there a way to safely separate the healthier bulbs from the presumed dead part up top? any insight is appreciated.

Considering I got my first one after it was rather unceremoniously ripped off the mother plant and was completely fine, I think it’s safe to say you could just unbury it a bit and gently break off the pup where it joins. After you break it off leave it out on a shelf/windowsill etc for a couple days to let the wound callous over then pot it like normal.
