Best wishes on your big week of celebrations.
We always love your updates!
If you're thinking about moving your blueberries. Maybe think about putting them in a raised garden bed and amending the soil properly. if you have pine trees on your property you can always put the old needles on top of the bed for mulch and that will help with the acidity as well. I have seen a few people on YouTube do this and it seems to work out well.
Jess what do you do for mosquitos?!?!?
Do you harvest the things that grow out of your compost pile? Is that a foolish question to ask? 😅
Jess, your garden is lovely. Even the compost garden 🤣. You’ve got stuff growing there that I’m trying to grow for the first time! Like pumpkins and okra 😂
I love evening walks around our property, especially with my kids.
I have a son who is 6, a daughter who is 5, and boy/girl twins who are 3 (they’ll be 4 at the end of June). I can’t imagine how life will look 10 years from now when they’re all teenagers and then facing graduation for them a few short years after that😳.
Thank you, for sharing your evening walk with us and for everything else you do.
❤Victoria Anne
I found a spoon tomato plant volunteering in a bed far from where it was grown. I didn't start any this year and was sad I wouldn't have them, but GOD! 🙌
Noone ever tells you how a momma mourns when a child becomes an adult. Soon a new relationship begins, which is equally as rich. xx
Ohhhh… if I could just sit there on that dock with you and listen I sure would savor the peace of it.❤😊 I closed my eyes n listened to the sound and it was a happy sound.
Blessings to your family this week. Special times. Reminded me of a favorite book: A Lantern in Her Hand by Bess Streeter Aldrich…she was trying to get time to wait a minute when it was rushing her. I had a 30 yo woman with me in my garden one day at sunset. I touched her arm and said, "Watch the sunset!" I stood still, watching, as it dropped beyond the horizon. She said, "I've never done that before". Hurt my heart for her. Psalm 91 over all believers. Happy Birthday, and congratulations, Asher!
Wow, the water is so still ❤
Good job finding the peace in the chaos! Thank you for sharing your life and knowledge Jess.
My Eden (3) said she loves your dress, it makes her happy 💛.
So beautiful! God is amazing!!🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏!! Thank you so much Jess for sharing. It's truly beautiful there. And so are you!! 🙏❤️. God bless you and your family always. Lana K.
My boys are 2, 4 & 6 and I have an amazing 16 year old bonus daughter that I have known since she was 4. Am I the only one that cries every night before their birthdays because of how fast time flies😂😅 oh the adventure of being a Mama❤
A suggestion for a tree to plant where you are moving the berry bushes is El Niño® Chitalpa. They are heat and drought tolerant. They are very fragrant and fast growers.
I love blue hour even more than golden hour. There is just something so magical about the feel of the air and the quality of the light. Sounds like you and Bosco need to learn the same lessons. Slow down, rest, work shouldn't be the center point of your life, and it doesn't determine your worth. Very fitting that he is your horse.

The flowers are more like the ovary and the fruit are like the womb.
I needed to hear this today! My little one is about to turn 2. I feel like he was just a new born and then I blinked and now he’s 2. I’m doing my best to try to slow down and enjoy all the moments because before I know it he will be graduating!
This video beautifully encapsulates the myriad reasons I love watching your channel, and I thank you for letting us all in to share your slow-down experience.
Sweet Jess, You're right, only you can slow yourself down. I love listening to critters, and wildlife talking/making noise at night and as the sunrises.
There totally isn’t enough time in the garden! Especially in the season of life you are in. Just enjoy!!
We have a frog that sounds like a goat🤣Healthy compost. Catching the sunset! Yes, glorious!
I scattered okra seed on my compost pile and I'm hoping for a lovely "voluntold" okra forest!
When I think of you Jess I think of gratitude… You embody gratitude and that's a beautiful trait to have.
Sure sounds like a starling.
Hey Jess, that was me that suggested Starling. To get rid of it, without killing potential babies in there, wait until she leaves and she's gone for a week. Then staple metal screening over the hole. Just be careful not to wait too long because they often do multiple broods in the same spot in the same season. If you don't care about killing just unhatched eggs, make sure she's not bringing food inside (that means chicks) and you can cover the hole now when she's out for a bit. If you see her and the male bringing in nesting material they probably don't have eggs yet. Good luck.
I have plants coming up in my compost pile too! I just let them grow as well! They seem to do better than ig I plant pumpkins in it.
Wow I had no idea I love been calling them the ugly tomatoes and
Was thinking they r growing like that cuz I did something wrong thank u so much for sharing
Jess your necklace is stunning! I noticed it the other day also. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gardens with us, they are looking beautiful and are full of promise!
Having watched since the Arkansas days, I often cry with awe and gratitude for God’s beauty displayed and blessings whenever there is a view in the background of this lovely place, all the things! Blessings continued on all of you, and especially this precious week!
Very likely a starling. They are cavity nesters, and they will find a way in.
thanks for sharing.
beautiful country sounds. I never appreciated them growing up. But your video shows me how much I miss them. Love Bev from Oklahoma
Baby turns 40 this year. It’s crazy and my oldest turns 50. I don’t know how they became their old because I am not even that old.😂❤
Jess honey, i have to say i THOROUGHLY enjoyed this vlog… i agree wholeheartedly, savor the moments! I loved the saying you shared, and I shared. I never heard it before. I also LOVED when you were walking back to the house and it was getting dark… so soothing taking an evening walk and the amazing peace that comes over me. Please feel free to do that again! God bless you Sunshine!
My Zucchinni didn’t do well so we lived over compost squash. Lots in the freezer and lots of Zucchinni bread God gave me. ❤️🙏
I haven’t sat down by a pond in the evening for sometime , as a kid I did so often. Now that I live in a coastal community I’ll go to the beach, different sounds but a similar peace. At the end of this video when you were blessing us I noticed your smile and thought the old Jess is back, but corrected myself because that wasn’t it. Last season it was a crushing time. The season before you were dealing with your health issues. Though your smile was always bright, you had so much to contend with over the those season. This smile was different. This smile was that of a wisened Jess, confident and benefiting of a retooled life that is really working for you. That brought me joy, I really think you are on the right path my friend. I bless you.
Thank you so much for this beautiful reminder!!🌼 Blessed week to you! 💐
That's so beautiful the reflection of the sky in the pond oh my goodness how relaxing
I can hear the bullfrogs
Love your evening walk. So beautiful. Your veggies are great. Wish I had so many but I will deal with what I have. Your second graduation is going to be great. All your family coming will really make it special. My grandson is graduating High School on June 6th. But his dad is taking care of it all. We are just visitors which will be great. Hearts and Flowers coming your way. ❤️💐
Sounds so very peaceful! Thank you for sharing with us.
I must know where your dress is from! The yellow is gorgeous on you!
Amen sister
