A gardener has left Instagram users mortified after revealing a more than unusual top tip that you almost definately would not have heard of before. When gardening advice comes to mind you may think of a secret tip to help your plant grow, what to feed your plants and how to keep your garden healthy throughout the year.
However, a top gardening expert took millions of users by surprised after providing insight into a top tip that could “save you from jail”. Culinary_garden who has over 50k followers on Instagram posted a rather peculiar video about when to plant endangered native plants.The Australian user who prides himself in ‘making veggie gardening more accessible’ jokingly gave his advice on what to do when burying a dead body and how to get away with the crime.
He said: “When burying a dead body make sure to then plant some endangered natives on top so it’s illegal to dig up.”
The UK has an array of highly endangered plants including the ghost orchid and Dragon’s-mouth.
Whilst in Australia over 200 plants are at risk of being critically endangered.
Culinary_garden captioned the video as: “This Gardening Tip Could Save You From Jail”.
The clip see’s the expert in his garden using a shovel to move dirt which makes it seem like he is covering something rather suspicious. He then stops to lean on the shovel to explain the far from normal gardening advice.
The video which has over one and a half million views has amassed nearly 10,000 hilarious comments, some from users who didn’t quite catch that the video was a joke.
One said: “This advice is horrible, the cops are not dumb and endangered species in the middle of nowhere are very suspicious.”
“Not cool and not funny”, said a second. A third added: “Are you sure that’s a gardening tip?”
“That’s not a gardening tip,” said another.
Whilst some other Instagram users found the light heartened clip hilarious and rushed to express how funny they found it.
One comment which has received over 10,000 likes read: “For legal reasons I liked this because it was funny and not relatable.”
Another comment with 8,000 like said: “Who got the joke? The man has four trees in his garden.”
Another user said: “Congratulations, everyone. The FBI has officially bookmarked this reel.”
“Finally I can save myself”, said a fourth.
