  1. I planted my Dahlias today, Lousje. I did not hear you mention planting any. One of my last chores until I plant some annuals in my 10 year old garden. I really don't need more shrubs and perennials although tempting. Your plans sound great. By the way, I have lawn sprinklers and drip irrigation. Worth it.

  2. Good morning Louise
I loved listening to your gardening planning.
You never mentioned hellebores. I have 4 different ones and they provide a lot interest and joy to a garden in my opinion.
Their early spring bloom is a harbinger of spring. The bloom lasts relatively long and in the summer you are blessed with a lovely compact green shrub looking plant.
Visitors always admire and ask after them.

Their early spring bloom is a harbinger of spring. The bloom lasts relatively long and in the summer you are blessed with a lovely compact waxy green shrub.
Visitors always admire and ask after them.
And don’t forget about our loyal
    Sedum and clematis.
One last tip. Have you heard of Northland Nursery (near Waterdown) where everything is $10? A great place to get the $30 hellebore (and other usually expensive plants) for $10.
Hope that’s not too much information for you.
