MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) – A project that’s been in the works since 2021 is now open at the Moline Public Library.

According to a media release, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the Moline Library Gardens on Thursday afternoon.

The gardens include:

A multi-use pavilion and stageFlexible event lawnAn interactive story loopA buttergly garden Sculptures from local artists

The outdoor space will host library programs and provide multiple areas for gathering, reading and enjoying the outdoors.

The project was funded through a capital campaign, grants and contributions from local charity organizations.
