WATERTOWN — The Master Gardener Volunteers from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County are holding their annual plant sale from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Extension office at 203 North Hamilton St. Perennials, annuals, vegetables, houseplants, herbs and shrubs — grown by expert gardeners — will be available for purchase.
The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program is a national initiative of trained volunteers working alongside their county Cooperative Extensions to increase community gardening education.
The proceeds from the sale will support the Master Gardener courses, teaching supplies to educate the community and community projects. The proceeds will also support the Sue Gwise Scholarship to help awarded applicants with the Master Gardener Training fees.
