One of my Calatheas has been dried out and weird for months. I know to just let them be, so I wasn’t doing much – watering when I would whack myself in the head lifting the pot because I was hoping it wasn’t completely dry and it was. Letting it sit under my grow light with it’s two dried out leaves that weren’t. quite. dead. I had moved it about 2 feet away from the lights to a windowsill about two months ago.
I had the thought about three weeks ago that if it didn’t start doing something soon, I’d accept that it was gone and clean up the ashes (figuratively).
On the weekend, I climbed on my step ladder to check a few hanging plants (tall basement with dropped ceiling, so I have a few hanging from the hooks that slip on the cross bars. There, in the sunshine of the evening, were two, 2″ leaves from the one corm.
