Looking for suggestions for a ground cover to fill in the left side of my yard. No foot traffic. I was thinking clover with Hosta around the tree.

Growing Zone 8A
Ideally a ground cover that wont spread into my neighbors yard.

Don’t know what I am doing lol, open to suggestions. Thank you!

Hosta with clover sounds nice! Can also try some shade loving perennial flowers like hellbores, astilbe or one’s native to your area.

    Is that a Bradford pear?

Imagine how much sunny garden space you’d have if you took out that garbage invasive tree. If you’re worried about invasive weeds spreading to other yards and nearby fields, start with removing the tree.

How about Green-and-gold (Chrysogonum virginianum)? A native ground cover which spreads relatively fast but is also easy to manage if you need to pull it from undesirable areas. Also has cute yellow flowers 🙂

Hostas and maybe some coral bells for color
