Welcome to Tiger’s Garden. My name’s Not Tiger. But today, we’re going to talk about how I started my container garden. So, here’s the overview of all the containers I use. The first store we’re going to go to is Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree has these blue totes for $1.25 that I put my smaller peppers in. I also companion plant them with radish and other greens. These work well with container gardening because you can pick them up and move them because it has handles. They’re also budget friendly. Next door we’re going to is Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight has a wonderful deal on 5gallon buckets. These are great because you can use them for larger peppers and you can move them around as you wish. At Harbor Freight, you can also get discounts with your Harbor Freight account. For the price, I most definitely recommend these as a third-year gardener. And the next store is Walmart. Walmart has these Sterilite containers for $7. This is great for a large scale of container planting, especially for those who do not want to pay the price of a raised garden bed. This is my first year using them. I have no issue, and I definitely recommend you use them as well. So, here’s a quick overview of my front porch. The price of all the containers was roughly under $60. As a third year gardener, I wish I knew these tips my first year gardening because it would have stopped me from making so many mistakes. But now I’m here to share with you. Last store we’re going to go to one more time is Dollar Tree. I usually use the mop buckets for the smaller pepper plants and that works well with me. And that’s all I have for today. Make sure you like, comment, and share. And thank you for watching Tiger’s

  1. I love a good dollar tree hack!! The tote idea I will be considering. This is my first year gardening and I do mine on my porch. I can definitely use the tips, tricks, and hacks!! Subbing😊

  2. Sis, it's my thing, too… I love them. I just bought two more buckets at the Dollar Tree today. I started in pots and transitioned to raised garden beds with more pots for my extras and larger plants.

What tips do you use with your peppers for fertilizer?

  3. Gratitude in a 1st year Gardner and I’m binge watching all these video . Today I even branching out to making my own pitting mix for containers lol 😂😂. I got carrots , swish chard and lettuce .. so excited . I might start me a yt channel

  4. 😮😮 Omg, this is not coincidental, I was considering these container tubs. I already bought three gray ones but was very hesitant about using them. Thank you, thank you!😅❤ I'm assuming you drilled holes at the bottom?

  5. What do you use for drainage in all of your containers or do you poke holes in all of them?

  6. Nice video. Do you put draining holes in your containers? I'm new to container gardening because my backyard is mostly cement.❤ I'm subbing now. Thanks for the content.

  7. I really like containers too because of the reduced pests & movability. My plastic Dollar Tree containers crumbled after just one season from being out in the sun. You don’t have that problem? Do you keep yours in the shade?

  8. This is me!! I have totes, buckets, containers that I had around the house and I am using all that stuff. The dollar tree is my best friend for gardening 🙌🏾. I also have a clothesline outback that I’m going to attempt to weave a net and use as a trellis for my loofah plant and my cucumbers. I am in zone 7B Maryland.

  9. The sterilite containers crumble in the sun for me. I saw another gardener using them and putting them on chairs with great success. Maybe the sun is too strong here.

  10. The blue ones will be brittle by next tear but your garden looks amazing , not a big deal just get some more next year

  11. I use all of these as well, except for the blue, oval tubs with the handles.. I saw them, but i didn't think they'd hold up in the sun, but now that i know they do.. I'll be heading to Dollar Tree after work! Thank you!
